甲骨文에 보이는 ‘其’의 용법과 어법화 과정
초록
Qi(其), a multifunctional article used in ancient Chinese, is found only in Mingci(命辭) and Zhanci(占辭). Different views exist regarding the syntactic characteristics of Qi(其). This paper reveals the traditional function of Qi(其) by analyzing grammatical distribution of Qi(其) in Oracle-Bone Inscriptions. Originating from the verb meaning ‘anticipate’, Qi(其) was grammaticalized, which resulted in representation of both ‘what you want’ and ‘what you don’t want’ and later was more grammaticalized and expressed both ‘intention’ and ‘guess’. These ‘intention’ and ‘guess’ are ‘not realized’ and can be divided into various future tense markers. It is difficult to find a lot of data due to the peculiarity of Oracle-Bone Inscriptions, whether there is a personal pronoun in Oracle-Bone Inscriptions or not. Even if it existed, no primitive relationship will exist to the verb's usage and would probably be a Jiajie(假借).
