댓글을 활용한 비판적 문식성 교육 연구

초록

This study insists on the necessity of critical literacy education in Korean language education based on a reflection of the educational reality focused on functional literacy education. It proposes the usefulness of internet comments, critical literacy teaching and learning methods using it. The shift in perspective of viewing language as a social interaction and the digital environment, in which information can be easily produced and shared, requires learners to have an ability to evaluate, synthesize, and speak out their opinions about social issues. Therefore, this paper argues for the necessity of a critical literacy education in Korean language education. In addition, it considers whether comments from online newspaper articles with high authenticity and accessibility and access to various opinions related to the original text are appropriate as educational materials. In order to develop critical literacy in existing studies, it attempts to overcome the limitations that it does not present specific methods for reading texts to the learners and only insist on a justification. Therefore, based on the critical literacy teaching and learning model proposed by McLaughlin & Allen(2002) and McLaughlin & DeVoogd(2004), the contents of the five steps of teaching and learning consisting of 'explain-demonstrate-guidepractice- reflect’ are presented. In addition, the possibility of educational use is shown by applying critical literacy strategies to use comments in newspaper articles for analysis. Finally, based on this, suggestions for critical literacy teaching and learning designs using comments, are presented according to the five steps.
