Open Problems in Coding Theory

We present major open problems in algebraic coding theory. Some of these problems are classified as Hilbert problems in that they are foundational questions whose solutions would lead to further study. The remainder are classified as Fermat problems in that they are difficult problems in coding theory that have defied solution for a significant period of time.
