초록

Jalsaenggida type predicates and neulkda type verbs conjugate in the same way when they express the present state. But the word class of Jalsaenggida type predicates is not a verb but an adjective. The reason is as follows. First, apart from neulkda type verbs, Jalsaenggida type predicates always express a state of being. Second, they combine with -eojida to express the change of state. This is the typical characteristic of adjectives. Third, some of them are certainly adjectives. Forth, it is reasonable to assume that they are formed by the need to express a state. Jalsaenggida type predicates are related to verbs. Some of them are derived from verbs. Some of them have verbs as the last constituents. And they express a state as a result of the change of state. So, Jalsaenggida type predicates combine with past tense morpheme -eoss to express the present state.
