This paper proposes a capacitor-less low-dropout regulator (LDO) for mobile devices with fast transient response. The proposed LDO achieves fast transient by using positive local feedback loop having large gain, high-pass filter, and current drainage. The total compensation capacitance is 14 pF. The proposed LDO has minimum length of 0.5 mu m, and the active chip area is 0.146 mm(2).
