초록
Mobile operators forecast continuous increase of mobile data traffic generated by their customers. Offloading to Wi-Fi is being considered as a solution to reduce the burden of the cellular networks. Multipath TCP (MPTCP) supports the simultaneous use of multiple interfaces (Ford 2011). Therefore, mobile operators who use MPTCP for mobile data transmission can provide more bandwidth and achieve smooth handover from Wi-Fi to cellular network for user.In this paper we analyze existing MPTCP optional modes (Full mode, Backup mode)’s problem and propose complemented MPTCP mode. Finally, we experimentally prove benefits of our schemes. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
