지각된 사회적 지지와 외상 후 성장 간의 관계: 긍정 정서와 적응적 정서조절전략의 매개효과

초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the emotional and cognitive processes of social support by examining the mediating effects of positive affect and adaptive emotion regulation strategies in the relationship between social support and post-traumatic growth. Participants(N=400) aged over 19 who subjectively experienced severe trauma (5 points or more) were surveyed online measuring trauma experience, social support, positive affect, adaptive emotion regulation strategies and post-traumatic growth. Structural equation modeling(SEM) was used for data analysis. The findings are as follows. First, relationships among social support, positive affect, adaptive emotion regulation strategies, and post-traumatic growth were significantly correlated. Second, positive affect and adaptive emotion regulation strategies significantly mediated the relationship between social support and post-traumatic growth. Third, positive affect and adaptive emotion regulation strategies sequentially partially mediated the relationship between social support and post-traumatic growth. This study is significant in that it simultaneously examined social support, positive affect, and adaptive emotion regulation strategies, and it is also significant in that it confirmed the importance of the induction of positive emotions through social support and the using adaptive emotion regulation strategies through expansion of attention and thinking in the process of growing beyond the painful events following trauma. The discussions and future research directions were presented.
