초록
This article rereads Walter Benjamin’s theory of technological reproducibility in the context of generative artificial intelligence and examines changes in artistic authority, labor, and arts management. Combining theoretical analysis with comparative readings of copyright guidance and documented cases, it first rejects a linear narrative in which aura is simply destroyed by technological reproduction and restored by AI. It proposes “relational and processual aura” as a limited analytical term for authority that emerges provisionally through traceable production histories, human selection and revision, situated relations, and accountable institutional judgment. It then defines platform value not as a replacement for exhibition value but as the conditioning of visibility through datafication, algorithmic selection, quantified response, and recirculation. Evidence from experiments, online labor markets, and creative-worker surveys indicates that generative AI may accelerate bounded drafting tasks while redistributing selection, verification, rights clearance, explanation, and final responsibility to human workers. Finally, the article examines United States and Korean copyright guidance and European transparency rules to propose minimum standards for process documentation, evaluation, contracts, acquisition, preservation, redisplay, and audience disclosure in museums, galleries, nonprofit art organizations, and educational institutions.
