Andreev bound states in YBa2Cu3Oy/Au/Co tunnel junctions

We report the transport properties of YBa2Cu3Oy (YBCO)/Au/Co and YBCO/Au tunnel junctions. The conductance spectra between ferromagnet and high-T-c superconductor show a zero bias conductance peak (ZBCP), reflecting the charge transport in the [110] surface. For normal metal/YBCO tunnel junctions, a clear ZBCP directly related to the Andreev bound states was observed for the [110] surface. These results may be confirmed by spin tunneling at a ferromagnet/d-wave superconducting tunnel junction. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
