초록

In AMOLED displays, the IR drop phenomenon caused by voltage drops along power lines becomes more severe as panel size and luminance increase, resulting in luminance and color non-uniformity. This paper proposes a three-stage IR drop compensation framework that can be implemented purely in software without requiring any current or voltage sensing. The proposed method first quantifies pixel-level current imbalance to perform initial correction using a Current Lookup Table(LUT), then compensates global luminance variations through an Average Picture Level(APL)-based Ratio and Target LUT. Subsequently, a position-indexed Local LUT and weighted blending are applied to correct regional luminance deviations, while a temporal filter is employed to suppress inter-frame flicker. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach effectively enhances color accuracy and luminance uniformity without hardware modification, achieving stable compensation performance under various driving conditions.
