한국판 정서-행동 선별시스템(K·BASC-3 BESS), 자기보고형 검사-초등용(SRP-C)의 타당화 연구

초록

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of Korean Behavior Assessment System 3rd Edition, Behavioral and Emotional Screening System for Children, Self Report of Personality- Child Form (K·BASC-3 BESS SRP-C). K·BASC-3 BESS SRP-C consists of items extracted from Korean Behavior Assessment System 3rd Edition, Self Report of Personality-Child Form (K·BASC-3 SRP-C), which assesses elementary student’s emotional and behavioral problems. Based on a nationwide elementary students’(aged 8~11) self report survey of K·BASC-3 SRP-C, 326 final surveys were confirmed after comprehensive analysis of reliability, factor structure, and validity including concurrent validity and predictive validity. ROC curve was used to examine the cut-off score used in predictive validity. Study results indicated that K·BASC-3 BESS consists of 28 items, including 10 items from internalizing risk index, 6 items from self-regulation risk index, 8 items from the personal adjustment risk index, and 4 items from additional BERI items. Internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha) of each subindice ranged from .65 to .90, and the total value for the whole item was .79. Also, 55 was confirmed to be an appropriate T score to identify the risk group. Study results demonstrated that K·BASC-3 BESS is a tool capable of efficiently and reliably screening elementary school students for mental health risks. Implications of this study and recommendations for future research were discussed.
