Objectives This study looked at the win-win growth CSR program of large corporations and aimed to examine the effects of a win-win growth program on the formation of intangible assets. POSCO has been continuously running the shared growth program, and thus we selected and explored the positive impact of POSCO's shared growth program on the employees of partner companies (i..e. SEMs). Methods At first, we analysed the success stories of the 7 shared growth programs implemented by POSCO and categorized the testimonial messages on intangible assets of employees from partner companies into employee engagement, affective, voluntary and participative change; and corporate citizenship. Based on this, a questionnaire was designed and an online survey was conducted on 298 employees of POSCO's partner companies. Results Based on the results, the win-win growth program was creating intangible and tangible assets of SMEs for employees of partner companies. The levels of affective engagement, voluntary and participative change engagement; and corporate citizenship consciousness were higher when employees of the partner companies recognized that they were participating in POSCO's win-win growth program than those who did not. A relationship between employee engagement and corporate citizenship consciousness was confirmed. Conclusions This study results show that the corporate partnership has contributed to the creation of companies’ intangible assets: POSCO's win-win growth program is creating intangible assets and soft power for suppliers. In addition, the practical implications for these findings were presented.
