Whole-body Human Mesh Reconstruction with Transformer

Whole-body human mesh reconstruction aims at localizing mesh vertices of all human parts, including body, hands, and face simultaneously. The challenges of this problem are small image sizes of hands and face and smoothly connecting reconstructed 3D body, hands, and face meshes. To resolve these challenges, we present a transformer-based architecture, WholeTransNet, a novel whole-body mesh reconstruction network. Our WholeTransNet outperforms previous whole-body mesh reconstruction methods. © 2023 IEEE.
