We developed MR insertable small animal PET utilizing high resolution event positioning circuit and charge signal transmission approach. A further study will be performed to improve PET image quality by applying correction algorithms and to evaluate the performance of small animal PET mounted inside the MR bore to simultaneously acquire hybrid PET/MR images. © 2014 IEEE.
