어머니의 불안정 성인애착이 양육태도에 미치는 영향: 정신화의 매개효과와 지각된 배우자 지지의 조절된 매개효과

초록

This study attempted to find pathways of influence among maternal insecure adult attachment, mentalization, perceived spousal support, and parenting attitude. It proposed that the influence of maternal insecure adult attachment on parenting attitude will be fully mediated by maternal ability for mentalization as measured by emotional regulation. Additionally, perceived spousal support will moderate the relationship between maternal mentalization and parenting behavior. Participants were 414 mothers in their 30's and 40's with children in 1st grade through 3rd grade. Self-report questionnaires from these mothers were analyzed using the SPSS 28.0 and the SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.2. The results showed, first, that the mentalization fully mediated the relationship between maternal insecure adult attachment and parenting attitude. Second, the relationship between mentalization and parenting attitude was moderated by the perceived spousal support. Third, a moderated mediation effect was confirmed, indicating that the mediating effect of mentalization in the relationship between maternal insecure adult attachment and parenting attitude was moderated by the perceived spousal support These results suggest that it is effective to increase the level of mentalization and spouse support when establishing an appropriate counseling strategy for mothers who are conflicted with insecure adult attachment and maladaptive parenting attitudes by confirming that mentalization ability and perceived spousal support affect parenting problems of mothers with insecure adult attachments.
