초록

The aim of this paper is to explain the structure building process of Korean coordinate sentences. The main points can be summarized as followings. First, coordinating endings take two verbal constituents based on their lexical properties. Second, coordinating endings do not project categorial feature but the bar level or projection level increase as coordinating endings take verbal constituents. From the former, 'law of coordination of likes' effect emerges. Lastly, binary conjunction, multiple conjunction, and embedded conjunction can be explained uniformly. Their differences originate from the differences in rule application manner by which coordinate sentences are formed.
