중국어 학습 한국인과 한국어 학습 중국인간 수행도 비교 연구: 대조분석가설과 습득-학습가설을 중심으로

The performance of Chinese learning Korean speakers and that of Korean learning Chinese speakers were compared in order to test the two second-language learning hypotheses, the contrastive analysis hypothesis and the acquisition-learning hypothesis. The effects of motivation and self-efficacy were also measured and controlled. Two-hundreds and twelve learners, 108 Korean learners learning Chinese and 104 Chinese learners learning Korean, completed the questionnaires asking their language performance, perspective of target language, and the psychological characteristics. Results indicated that Korean learners outperformed Chinese learners in the target language test scores. However, contrary to hypotheses, Chinese learners reported higher similarity between their mother language and the target language than Koreans. Based on the results, neither contrastive analysis hypothesis nor acquisition-learning hypothesis turned out to be a good explanation for Chinese-learning Koreans or Korean-learning Chinese.
