화교 기술공이 경험한 전쟁, 냉전, 국가 — 남교기공(南僑機工) 천방싱(陳邦興)의 생애를 중심으로 —
초록
From the late 1930s to the 1960s, Northeast and Southeast Asia were in chaos, with ongoing war and the Cold War at its peak. As the empire disintegrated, nationalists in the region's newly independent states took over its sphere of influence and territory. In the process, newly independent Asian states were experiencing a variety of conflicts and tragedies in various parts of the world, driven by the lurking variables of the Cold War and the end of Imperialism, and Asian individuals were caught up in the process. This study follows the life of a man who lived through the waves of imperial order, the Pacific War, and the Cold War during this time of turmoil. In particular, this paper will consider how to examine the life of an individual swept by the tides of these times through the eyes of an ordinary person whose name is not written in any history book, rather than a prominent figure who created an important turning point in history. Beginning with the question of whether it is possible to define an era in a black-and-white logic according to national, ethnic, and ideological boundaries when viewed from the perspective of an individual's life, this study will trace the personal trajectory of Chen Bangxing, an overseas Chinese driver who fought in the Sino-Japanese War and World War II in Burma, the Chinese Civil War in mainland China, the Korean War on the Korean Peninsula, and was repressed during the Cultural Revolution.
